To the students who find themselves weary,

Have you ever been at a basketball game where there are less than 30 seconds left on the clock and the team gives up? I have and it makes me crazy. Why not play your best until the end of the game? Does it hurt your stats to have made one more basket even though you may have lost the game? #dontgiveup The winter was long and some of your classes may have been too. But dig deep, it is time to find your second wind and finish strong. This is great practice for life because the reality often is that we find ourselves wore out and ready to give up. You were made in God’s image and He is amazing. We believe the power to finish strong lies within each of us as we call out to God and choose to give the best we have to offer. If you find yourself weary today, call out to Him for He cares for you. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1. We believe in you! You got this.

Teacher Recognition... Scott Bird teaches Bible, 8th grade U.S. History, U.S. History for high school and geography to the 9th graders.  He has a great conversational teaching style that is well received by the students.  He has been a wonderful addition to the NICS teaching staff and we are looking forward to him teaching full time in the secondary next year.  He, by a large margin, has the best beard of any staff member. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.  #communityinChrist #educationpoweredbyJesus
