Where Your Passion for Christ and Teaching Converge

You love Jesus. You care about discipling the next generation. You pray for students stepping into a world increasingly hostile to the Christian faith. You want them to know Scripture deeply and cherish the beauty of the Gospel. And you love teaching. You love your subject, the spark of understanding in a student’s eyes, and the energy of a classroom full of engaged learners. Too often, those loves feel separated. Compartmentalized. At North Idaho Christian School, they are inseparable. Here, you will serve alongside like-minded Christian educators who are equipping students to think deeply and live faithfully. Together, we work alongside parents to prepare young men and women to impact the world by communicating God's Truth. If that resonates with you, we would love to hear from you.

Thriving at NICS
Because teaching here is a ministry, we hold both spiritual and professional standards seriously.

Spiritual Commitments

Every NICS faculty member:

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and can clearly articulate their testimony.
  • Is actively growing in their faith and connected to a local church.
  • Sees Christian education as ministry, not merely employment.
  • Models Christ-like character in speech, conduct, and leadership.
  • Integrates a Biblical worldview into every subject area.
  • Is willing to commit to at least two years of service.

What Sets Our Team Apart

Thriving at North Idaho Christian School requires more than credentials. It requires educators who are confident in their faith, serious about academic excellence, and committed to forming students who will live and lead with Christ-like character.

1. A Biblical Worldviewn Integrated Christian Faith

You understand that Christ is central to all learning. Faith is not set aside in the classroom but is naturally expressed in the way you teach, speak, and interact with students. Biblical truth shapes every subject and every conversation. You speak about Christ naturally and clearly. Faith is not something you set aside in the classroom. Biblical truth shapes how you approach every subject and every conversation.

2. Academic Seriousness

You value intellectual rigor. You believe excellence honors God. You hold high standards and help students rise to them with patience and consistency.

3. A Discipler’s Heart

You notice when a student is discouraged. You pray for your classroom. You care deeply about who students are becoming, not just how they are performing.

4. Partnership Mindset

You value unity. You pray with colleagues. You contribute to a culture of encouragement and accountability. You understand that stability strengthens the entire school.

6. Love With Structure

You balance warmth with discipline. Your classroom is marked by order, respect, and consistency, not because you demand compliance, but because you cultivate character.

7. Commitment to the Long View
