Our staff tenure is a testimony to the cohesiveness and stability of the NICS teaching ministry. Our staff members meet regularly for prayer and devotions. Faculty and staff support each other professionally and spiritually.

Potential staff and faculty of NICS must:

Have made a personal commitment to the Lord and are able to relate their Christian testimony
Be committed to serving God in a Christian school teaching system, as the position is considered a ministry and not just a job.
Be a strong Christian model for students to follow.
Willingness to commit to two years of service.
Be able to effectively merge the qualities of love, discipline, and consistency in the classroom.
Be highly effective in the area of classroom management.
Have the willingness and ability to see themselves as part of a total team effort as they work with administration and staff.
Be honest, reliable, responsible, and have a sense of integrity.
Be willing to give time in extra curricular activities and other areas outside of the classroom.
Be professionally competent in the teaching area to which application is made.

Teacher Job Description:

Growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Ability to integrate Biblical world view into every subject
Appropriate knowledge of subject matter
Record-keeping ability – grades, attendance, etc.
Ability to record lesson plans, assign, collect, and grade homework assignments
Administer and correct quizzes and tests as necessary
Establish and maintain classroom discipline
Willing to abide by teacher dress code standards
Ability to communicate with students, parents, administration, and other staff
Team player

Current Openings

All our teachers must have a personal relationship with Jesus and be growing in their faith. They must have a strong commitment to Christian education and a desire to share their faith with their students. All teachers must maintain good classroom control and be able to create a positive learning environment. Teachers should be creative team players. All applicants must hold a BA or BS and be willing to obtain Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) certification.
