College & Career Preparation

At North Idaho Christian School, we believe education should prepare students not only for graduation, but for the calling God has placed on their lives. Our college and career preparation program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to pursue their future with purpose.

Beginning in middle school, students participate in career exploration opportunities designed to help them discover their strengths, interests, and potential career paths. Through guided activities, research, and exposure to a variety of professions, students begin thinking intentionally about their future goals.

In high school, students build on that foundation through dedicated college and career readiness courses. These classes help students navigate academic planning, college applications, scholarships, resumes, interview skills, career pathways, and life preparation beyond high school. Students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, and pursue excellence in every area of life.

The journey culminates with the Senior Capstone Project, a meaningful experience that allows students to apply what they have learned through research, presentation, and real-world exploration. The capstone challenges students to demonstrate leadership, professionalism, creativity, and a biblical worldview as they prepare to step confidently into college, career, ministry, or service opportunities after graduation. They defend their work before an audience of parents and community judges, offering a public demonstration of their learning and growth.

Formation through Responsibility

Spirit Week, pep rallies, and NICS Bev. Co., the student-run coffee bar, create opportunities for students to contribute meaningfully to school life and assume real responsibility.

Seniors complete a mission trip that invites them to practice what they have learned.
