Kimberly DeSchryver

Kimberly embarked on her teaching journey in the year 2000 with a fervent desire to shape young minds and make a positive impact on their lives. Her dedication and passion for education led her to traverse the landscapes of both public and private schools.

Early Years and Education:

Kim's educational journey began at the University of Idaho, where she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement. During her time at the university, she honed her teaching skills, instilling in herself a profound understanding of the importance of fostering a love for learning in children.

Career and Professional Development:

Upon graduating, Kim served as a long term substitute teacher in western Washington. Her first full time teaching position brought her to North Idaho,  where she worked  for the Lakeland School District. Throughout her career, she has experienced the diverse environments of public and private schools, gaining valuable insights and refining her teaching methods. Her love for teaching  continues to grow as she serves at North Idaho Christian School.

However, Kim's dedication to personal growth did not end with her bachelor's degree. Committed to becoming a more effective leader in the educational field, she is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership degree through GCU (Grand Canyon University).

Certifications :

Kimberly currently holds the following certificates: Idaho Education Credential All Subjects K-8/ Literacy K-12, ACSI Educator Certificate Elementary Teacher, and ACSI All Levels Principal Certificate.

 Family Life:

Beyond the classroom, Kim finds fulfillment in her personal life as a devoted wife and a loving mother to two boys. Together, they relish the joys of nature, enjoying boating and hiking during the summer and skiing in the winter. Engaging in these activities strengthens their bond as a family while appreciating the wonders of the great outdoors.

Community Service and Faith:

Kim's altruistic spirit extends beyond her family and classroom. Both she and her family actively participate in various service projects within their church and school ministries. Through their compassionate actions, they demonstrate the importance of giving back to the community and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
